*foster and coordinate partnerships for developing, operating and maintaining heritage-related attractions and programs;
*plan and design catalytic projects and/or flagship facilities;
*fund-raise, proposal development, and contract administration (state, federal, corporate, and foundation sources);
*coordinate a tourism development strategy and interpretive framework for the region;
*develop and implement a public information and marketing strategy;
*develop wayfinding and interpretive materials as a way of packaging resources and educating visitors;
*establish mutual performance criteria and expectations for itself and partners;
*provide technical and financial assistance (direct or referral) to identified heritage partners; and
*manage office operations: bookkeeping, accounting, meeting planning, and clerical.
